The Poseidon Ski Prep Programme is a structured 4–6 week ski fitness programme in Dartmouth designed to make you stronger, fitter, and harder to break before you hit the slopes.

We don’t promise injury prevention.

We build physical capacity so your body copes better with the demands of skiing.

Who This Ski Prep Programme Is For

This programme is ideal for adults who:

  • Ski 1–2 weeks per year

  • Are aged 30–65

  • Want to reduce knee, hip or back issues while skiing

  • Feel fatigue ruins their skiing after the first few days

  • Want to arrive on the mountain physically prepared

This is not ski instruction.

This is ski-specific strength and conditioning.

How the Poseidon Ski Prep Programme Works

Initial Ski Readiness Assessment

Every programme begins with an in-depth assessment at our Dartmouth studio.

We assess:

  • Lower-body strength and endurance

  • Hip and trunk control

  • Ankle and foot load tolerance

  • General conditioning capacity

  • Injury and ski history

This allows us to tailor your training based on what your body can currently tolerate — not generic ski workouts.

4–6 Weeks of Coached Ski Fitness Training

You train 2–3 times per week in a small group or semi-private setting.

Sessions focus on:

  • Eccentric leg strength (especially quads)

  • Hip and trunk control under fatigue

  • Deceleration and braking mechanics

  • Conditioning for long ski days

  • Building confidence through preparation

All sessions are coached, progressive, and designed to transfer to skiing.

No gimmicks.

Re-Test & Exit Briefing

At the end of your programme we reassess key capacity markers and review progress.
